Winter Publishing House is a Canadian publishing imprint. Currently our book publishing is for private use only (we are not accepting manuscripts from authors for publication at this time.)
A goal of Winter Publishing House, among others, is to invest in families. The founder of WPH, Jennifer Kropf (Canadian author of The Winter Souls Series) spent many nights of her childhood on the edge of her parents’ bed with her sisters, listening while her dad read The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis night after night (and then started from the beginning to reread the series when they were finished.) These precious childhood memories of bonding with her siblings and parents over books sparked the idea to promote families reading together in this digitally-dominant age, and starting lovely family traditions in homes-especially at Christmas time.
Our hope is to encourage unplugged family time, more reading in the home, and support child and teen literacy through our book fundraisers and book donations in Southern Ontario.
WPH has several avenues to invest in these goals, including Online Book Tours anyone in can be a part of, and Fundraisers for schools, local missionaries, class trips, etc.
As Christmas is a massive theme for us, we love to hear of new family Christmas traditions from all over the world. Send your traditions our way! Tag us on Instagram @winterpublishinghouse and use the hashtag #WPHtraditions, or, post on our Facebook Page!
